To support that goal, we're pleased to introduce a new brand identity and set of guidelines for use by the NJIT community. It is a comprehensive system, embracing the look of our correspondence, business cards, publications, electronic communications, and more.
The identity tools include the NJIT logo and descriptor (known in combination as our “core signature”) as well as a new tagline. They also include stationery, fonts, publication guidelines, presentation templates, and more.
The new identity system is meant to help us achieve three fundamental goals:
- Build NJIT into a name that is nationally recognized and respected, reinforcing our position as “New Jersey’s Science & Technology University.”
- Help us tell NJIT’s story in a strong, distinctive way by using our tagline, “The Edge in Knowledge,” as a common theme.
- Make the university’s organizational structure easier to see and understand, raising the visibility of the six colleges and schools that serve as the pillars of NJIT as a university.
Consistent use of the graphic elements that make up NJIT’s identity is an important part of the university’s drive to excel and gain wider recognition. We urge the entire NJIT community to adopt and use our new identity with pride and enthusiasm.
